Tune In: Columbia Faculty on Bloomberg Radio, Live From Columbia Campus
Tune in Tuesday, Feb. 16, to hear University professor and Nobel laureate Joseph Stiglitz discuss the U.S. economy and his new book, Free Fall, with Kathleen Hays, host of Bloomberg Radio’s Hay’s Advantage. The program will be broadcast live from Columbia Law School, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Stiglitz will be joined by Columbia faculty members Till von Wachter, associate professor of economics, who will discuss joblessness; Irene Finel-Honigman, adjunct professor of international and public affairs, who will discuss the monetary crisis in the eurozone (European Union members that have adopted the euro as their sole currency) and Greece’s recent economic collapse; Shang-Jin Wei, the N.T. Wang Professor of Chinese Business and Economy and director of the Jerome A. Chazen Institute of International Business, will talk about China’s growing economy and high savings rate; and David Epstein, professor of political science, who will talk about the upcoming primaries and the general elections in November 2010.
Host Kathleen Hays has covered the U.S. economy and the Federal Reserve for more than 25 years. Her program, Hay’s Advantage, interviews guests about the latest breaking news on the U.S. and world economy.
