Panelists will discuss the extraordinary regulatory/macropru policy responses to Covid-19 in many countries, including temporary easing of some regulations, use of macrorprudential tools, and other adjustments to preserve capital and liquidity at financial institutions. Discussion will focus on efficacy of these policy changes in the current economic environment, particularly to support credit to the nonfinancial sector, and to avoid having a financial crisis on top of the real economy crisis.
