“The University was alarmed to hear the news of the arrest of Hoang Thi Minh Hong. At the University, she was a member of the first cohort of a program that brings together leaders from across the world working to tackle complex global problems. Her presence enriched the program and enhanced our understanding of how to address issues of climate change and environmental protection and resilience. We echo the call by the U.S. Department of State for Vietnam to respect and protect her freedoms of expression and association.”
