Grads Came Roaring Back to Campus

What a joyous and unforgettable week! Tens of thousands of grads, recent alums, and guests descended on Morningside campus to celebrate the graduates' accomplishments in person. In addition to diplomas being conferred, the audience witnessed Patti Smith congratulate the graduates, Hillary Clinton give an impromptu short speech, Yo-Yo Ma make a heart symbol over his chest, Tom Kitt (CC'96) and Brandon Victor Dixon (CC'07) perform "Oh, Columbia," and President Bollinger call for universities to be a force of good in the world.
