Three student groups (ColumbiaVotes, Columbia University Democrats, and Columbia University Republicans) hosted a Debate Watch Party on September 10 in Lerner Hall's Roone Arledge Cinema. More than 400 students turned out to watch the first, and perhaps only, presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, and to participate in a discussion led by Michael Miller, associate professor of political science at Barnard College.
ColumbiaVotes is a nonpartisan and student-run voting rights initiative that will host civic engagement events throughout the fall semester. Follow them on Instagram @columbiavotes for upcoming events!
