President Mnookin Hosts Community Partners Breakfast

During her first week leading the University, President Jennifer L. Mnookin welcomed nearly 200 local elected officials, community leaders, and neighbors to the Manhattanville campus for a breakfast reception marking her commitment to deepening the ties between Columbia and New York City.
“The relationship between a university and a community is based on much more than just proximity,” Mnookin told the room. “It’s based on shared aspirations, on friendships, on building trust, on the ability to work together when things are easy and also when things are challenging.”
