Saluting Columbia Veterans

In honor of Veterans Day, we salute our thousands of student and alumni military veterans. For the 16th consecutive year, Columbia School of General Studies is a major sponsor of this week's Veterans Day Parade in New York City. 

At Columbia's Military Ball last Friday, Interim President Katrina Armstrong was in attendance to thank the Columbia military community for their contributions to University life. “The experiences you have had, the talents you have acquired, and the values you live align so deeply with what we believe in, with what this institution shall and must stand for: dedicated to diversity of thought and background, to creativity and perseverance, and to community and a commitment to others,” she said. “Thank you for being part of this community.”
