Columbia salutes pioneering neuroscientist Eric Kandel, Nobel laureate and bow-tie aficionado, as he retires at age 92. Kandel once wrote, "Life is all memory, except for the one present moment that goes by you so quickly you hardly catch it going.” We wish him and his family all things wonderful in the years ahead.
