CUIMC’s Jewish Cultural Employee Resource Group (ERG) invites you to join us on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 12:00pm to 1:15pm for a virtual event in observance of International Holocaust Remembrance Day entitled: Betraying the Oath: Physicians and Healthcare Professionals who Collaborated with the Nazis During the Holocaust. This significant webinar with opening remarks from Dean Katrina Armstrong aims to delve into the historical examination of the roles played by doctors and healthcare providers during the Holocaust, shedding light on their involvement in supporting and executing Hitler's planned genocide, including the promotion of eugenics and theories of racial inferiority that influenced Nazi doctrine.

The United Nations General Assembly designated January 27—the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau—as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.  On this annual day of commemoration, the UN urges every member state to honor the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and millions of other victims of Nazism and to develop educational programs to help prevent future genocides.

This event is open to all.  Advanced registration is required.
