Online Event

Harvard Business School Women's Association (HBSWA) hosts Debby Weinberg (HBS MBA’85), founder The Weinberg Family Cerebral Palsy Center at Columbia University for a discussion on Creating a Non-Profit with Maximum Impact.

When Debby Weinberg (HBS MBA'85) realized that there were no services for her son with cerebral palsy when he reached adulthood, she and her husband created The Weinberg Family Cerebral Palsy Center (the Center) at Columbia University. Today the Center is dedicated to improving the lives of people with cerebral palsy (CP) across the lifespan. It serves over 2000 patients annually and is the only center providing such comprehensive multidisciplinary care to both children and adults, in the country.

Hear about Debby’s journey: what inspired Debby to create the Center; how she went about building an organization that not only delivers clinical services, but also conducts cutting edge research and provides medical education for the CP community; and of overcoming multiple challenges along the way.

For those of you who want to start your own nonprofit or looking to grow your nonprofit, you’ll walk away with valuable lessons learned and keys to success.

Organized by HBSWA alums Liliane Offredo-Zreik (MBA'00), Shari Hubert (MBA'00) and Sandra Lee (MBA'00)
