All hail the College Bowl-winning champions of Columbia University! On September 7, the Lions faced off against the USC Trojans to win the newly revived College Bowl on NBC 790-775 points. You can watch the episode here

Shomik Ghose (SEAS’23), Tamarah Wallace (CC’22), and Jake Fisher (SEAS’22), alongside alternate Addis Boyd (SEAS'22), brought the team to victory on Tuesday night, earning congratulations from hosts Peyton and Cooper Manning.

In addition to bragging rights and in partnership with Capital One, all competitors received tuition assistance for participating in the series, but these Columbians will take home an even bigger scholarship in addition to becoming the "Capital One College Bowl" champions.

This year's win is especially sweet, considering that Columbia competed in the first-ever College Bowl match in 1953, losing to Northwestern University 135-60.

“Hopefully we can reverse the curse!” said Ghose at the beginning of this year's competition.

We are happy to report that the curse is officially reversed with the team's triumphant win. Congratulations!
