Lisa Rosen-Metsch

Dean, School of General Studies

Dean Lisa Rosen-Metsch is a medical sociologist whose research focuses on the social determinants of health, with a particular emphasis on access to care for people living with HIV and substance use disorders. Her work has been continuously funded by the NIH and CDC for more than two decades and has produced over 270 publications in journals including JAMA and the American Journal of Public Health. As Dean of Columbia GS, she has expanded student financial aid, launched new international and community college dual-degree programs, and developed initiatives focused on social justice and women student veterans.
