The Columbia University Office of the President and professors Michael Schudson and Nick Lemann of the Columbia Journalism School invite you to a conference In honor of the 100-year anniversary of the publication of Walter Lippmann's Public Opinion. This conference will consist of 2 keynote presentations (Louis Menand and Michele Moody-Adams) and 2 days of moderated panel discussions (Oct. 21-22). Participants include journalists along with academics in communication studies, political science, history, science studies, and related fields, taking up questions of what elements in Lippmann's Public Opinion remain instructive for us 100 years after publication.
