Celebrate Columbia’s 266th Commencement
On May 20, we’ll come together online to celebrate the Class of 2020 in a ceremony that will be as unique as the time. From New York to California, and from Paris to New Delhi, Beijing and beyond, everyone who wants to honor our brilliant graduates is welcome as we harness the energy and magic of graduation. And there is much to celebrate.
The Class of 2020 includes more than 11,000 students from Columbia’s 18 schools and affiliates. They come from over 136 different countries, include 191 military veterans, and range in age from a 20-year-old who earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering, to a 63-year-old, another engineer, who completed a doctoral program. The graduating class also includes 137 medical students who left the University early to join the ranks of frontline workers fighting COVID-19—essential staff who epitomize the values that make the Columbia community shine.

The 2020 Campbell Award Winners
Every year, the University Trustees and Columbia Alumni Association (CAA) present the Campbell Award to a graduating student from each school who shows exceptional leadership and Columbia spirit as exemplified by the late Bill Campbell (CC'62, TC'64), Chair Emeritus of the University Trustee and CAA co-founder.
