15 Photos from Graduation Festivities Celebrating Columbia's Class of 2024

We are so proud of the accomplishments of Columbia's graduates and here are 15 photos to prove it.

May 17, 2024

It has been an unusual year to say the least, but Columbia's graduates deserve nothing less than mountains of praise as they walked the stage with aplomb, diplomas in hand, this week. Between school ceremonies, graduation celebrations, and the Empire State Building lighting, the Class of 2024 has celebrated in style. Our photographers have been there to capture it all.

This year, more than 16,222 degrees were conferred upon the Class of 2024 from Columbia’s 19 schools. Our graduates come from 148 countries, include 215 military veterans, 8,994 women, 7,449 international students, and range from a 17-year-old Columbia Engineering student earning a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics to a 73-year-old School of Arts student graduating with an MFA in non-fiction writing.

Be sure to follow Columbia’s social media channels to let us know how you’ve been celebrating and use the hashtag #Columbia2024 to spread the word about our brilliant graduates.

You can imagine how difficult it is to choose just a few photos to mark such a momentous week, so we encourage you to follow Columbia's Instagram to see even more snapshots of the fun from even more school-based celebrations.
