Looking Back on 20 Years of President Bollinger's Fun Run, Walk, and Roll

This weekend marks the 20th annual Fun Run, Walk, and Roll, established by President Lee C. Bollinger in 2002. Take a look back at the very first fun run ever.

This weekend marks President Bollinger's 20th Annual Fun Run, Walk, and Roll. Yes, you read that right. The Fun Run has been taking place for 20 years straight! Just about the same amount of time that President Bollinger has been president of the university.

To celebrate these two decades of racing glory, Columbia News headed to the Columbia University archives in Butler Library to look through actual film of the very first fun run in 2002. Taken by intrepid University Photographer Eileen Barroso, carefully located and scanned by University Archivist Jocelyn Wilk, enjoy the throwbacks below.
