This weekend marks President Bollinger's 20th Annual Fun Run, Walk, and Roll. Yes, you read that right. The Fun Run has been taking place for 20 years straight! Just about the same amount of time that President Bollinger has been president of the university.

Make sure you've registered to run the race virtually (and be entered to win some awesome giveaways) this year any time from Friday, October 15 to Sunday, October 17. All current Columbia students, faculty, staff, and alumni of all abilities can participate.

To celebrate these two decades of racing glory, Columbia News headed to the Columbia University archives in Butler Library to look through actual film of the very first fun run in 2002. Taken by intrepid University Photographer Eileen Barroso, carefully located and scanned by University Archivist Jocelyn Wilk, enjoy the throwbacks below.
