Slide 1: Our Lenin was illustrated by William Siegel. The book is based upon an illustrated story of Lenin’s life published in the Soviet Union in the 1920s under the title of Lenin for Children. Ruth Shaw and William Siegel made a free translation of the book and adapted it for American children. The story was partly fictionalized but adhered mainly to the events in the life of Lenin.
